Gloria Dean Halford-Kaglear, 82, passed away peacefully at her residence while surrounded by her loving family.  Gloria was born in Baton Rouge, LA on June 19, 1937 to Willie and Ethel (Banks) Halford.  She was educated in the East Baton Rouge Parish School System and was later employed by Southern University in the Food Service Department until her retirement.  Gloria was a member of Promise Land Baptist Church pastored by Reverend Perry Wright, Jr.  Gloria was married to Lindbergh and to that union, four children were born.

Gloria is survived by her husband, Lindbergh Kaglear; her daughters, Carol Hutchinson, Sheron Norman, Jackie Williams, and Shelia Tezano; a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Ethel Halford.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at Promise Land Baptist Church located at 7234 Plank Road in Baton Rouge, LA.  Reverend Perry Wright, Jr. will officiate.  Visiting will be from 9:00 am until the time of celebration services.  Burial will be in Southern Memorial Gardens under the direction of Semien-Lewis  Mortuary of Jennings, LA.
