Gregory Banes Gotte, 48, a resident of Lake Arthur, LA passed away at his residence while surrounded by his family.  Gregory was born in Jennings, LA on October 26, 1976 to Clarence Gotte and Lorraine A. Breaux-Gotte.  Gregory served in the United State Army from November of 2001 to October of 2004.  He was awarded the Army Commendation Medal (2nd Award), the National Defense Service Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Army Service Ribbon, and the Combat Infantryman Badge.  Upon return from active duty with the military, Gregory worked as an Auto Mechanic.  Gregory was married to Angela Foreman-Gotte and to their union, one son (Alex Kade Gotte) was born.

Gregory is survived by his son, Alex Kade Gotte; his former wife, Angela Foreman Gotte; his brothers, Brian D. Gotte, Kevin Gotte, and Scotty Gotte; one sister, Kristin Gotte; his father, Clarence Gotte, a host of other relatives and friends.

Gregory was preceded in death by his mother, Lorraine Breaux-Gotte; his paternal grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Wiley Gotte; his maternal grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. John Breaux.

Graveside services will be held at the Southwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery at 10:00 am on Wednesday, September 17, 2025.  Military Funeral Honors will be accorded by an Army Squad from Fort Polk.
