Gvokia Demald Manuel, 45, passed away peacefully at his residence after a brief illness in Jennings, Louisiana.  Gvokia was born in Jennings, LA., on November 26, 1975, to Reginald Manuel and Renella Sinegal Manuel.  He completed his education in Jennings, LA., and later was employed as a Cement Finisher in the Construction Industry.  He later worked for Walmart Corporation.  Gvokia loved his children and was a loving man, son, brother, and friend.  He loved to cook and enjoyed sharing meals with family and friends.

Gvokia is survived by his five children, Ja'Vokia Williams, Gvokia A. Manuel, Gvohnne Manuel, Za'Nyri Gayfield, all of Jennings and Kaden Benoit of Welsh, LA; his parents, Reginald Manuel and Renella Sinegal Manuel of Jennings, LA; two sisters, Keycia Manuel of Lafayette, LA and Regella Manuel of Lake Arthur, LA; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, July 24, 2021, at Semien-Lewis Mortuary Church Chapel, 819 N. State Street, Jennings, LA 70546.  Reverend Emerson Baty, Pastor of Antioch Baptist Church of Lake Arthur, LA will officiate.  Visiting with family and friends will be held in the Mortuary Chapel from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M.
