Henry "Buit" Jones Jr., 83, of Mermentau, Louisiana. transitioned to his heavenly home on June 6, 2025, at Camelot Brookside Nursing Home in Jennings, LA.  Henry was born on November 28, 1941, in Lake Arthur, Louisiana to Henry Jones Sr. and Alice Duncan Jones.

On April 30, 1966, Henry married the love of his life, Marie Andrew; together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and faith.  To their union, three children were born, Terrence, Tanya, and Terra'Nisha.

Henry worked for over forty-nine years with Leevac Shipyard.  He was a family man, always providing for his family, and loved spending time with them.

Henry was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Jones; his parents, Henry Sr. and Alice Jones; his brother, Joseph Jones; his sisters, Virginia Pete (Lester) and Rosetta (Amos); his son, Eric (Mona); his niece, Marilyn "Monk" Collins; his grandson, Seth Michael.

Henry leaves to cherish his memories, two daughters, Terra'Nisha (Timothy) and Tanya; one son, Terrence; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, two great great-grandchildren; Lilly Charles; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visiting with family and friends will be held at St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church, 703 Orange Street, Mermentau, LA from 8:00 am to 9:45 am.  A rosary will be recited at 9:00 am in the church.  A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am in the church with Father Randall Moreau officiating.
