Mr. Herman Singleton, Jr. passed away peacefully at his residence surrounded by family.  Herman was born on August 30, 1958 in Lebeau, LA to his parents, Herman Singleton, Sr. and Dorothy Mae Simien-Singleton.  Herman was a resident of Iowa, LA and had worked as a Operator with the Port of Lake Charles.  He was a member of St John Bosco Catholic Church in Westlake, LA.


Herman leaves to cherish his memories, his mother, Dorothy Mae Singleton; five children, Joy Singleton, Faith Singleton, Herman Singleton, Sherman Singleton, Hope (Brandon) Malbrough; three brothers, Larry Singleton, Ronald Singleton and Donald Singleton; two sisters, Shirley (Richard) Singleton-Williams and Sharon Singleton-Boxie; sixteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his father, Herman Singleton, Sr., Shelia Brown and grandson Hayden Malbrough.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at St John Bosco Catholic Church, 1301 Sampson St, Westlake, LA 70669 .  Rev. Mike Barras will officiate.  Visitation will be in the church from 9:00 am until the time of religious services.  Rosary will be held at 9:30 am.  Burial will be in the Perkins Cemetery, 1100 McKinley St, Westlake, LA.
