Horace William Lewis, 73, a native and life-long resident of Jennings, Louisiana, was called from earthly labor to heavenly reward on Friday, October 1, 2021, at Jennings American Legion Hospital.  Horace was born in Jennings, LA., on October 9, 1947, to the late Lucy Mae Lewis and Horace Brown.  He was a devoted member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Jennings, LA., currently pastored by Reverend Jude Fernando, TOR.

Horace leaves to cherish his fond memories, on sister, Martha J. Stansberry of Jennings, LA; two nieces, Angela (Kenny) Williams and Godchild Lucy (Henry) Brackens; three nephews, Elijah (Dana) Lewis, Fredrick Lewis, and Johnathon (Shelly) Belton; a host of great-nieces & great-nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Horace was preceded in death by his parents, Lucy Mae Lewis and Horace Brown; his brother, Isbay Lewis Sr; two nephews, Isbay Lewis Jr., and Terrance Lewis; one sister, Joyce Mae Lewis.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 9, 2021, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 920 South Broadway Street, Jennings, LA.  Pastor Reverend Jude Fernando, TOR will officiate.  Visiting with family & friends will be held in the Church Chapel at Semien-Lewis Mortuary, 819 N. State Street, Jennings, LA., from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.  A Rosary will be recited in the Chapel at 9:30 a.m. Saturday.  Burial will be in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Semien-Lewis Mortuary of Jennings, LA.
