Isaac J. Tyler, Sr.

Mr. Isaac J. Tyler, Sr, 72, was born July 24, 1954, in Jennings, LA to the late Grace Clark Lawdins and Earnest Tyler. He accepted Christ at an early age at Union Baptist Church. He attended Jeff Davis High School and Grambling State University. He was also a member of Grambling State University Alumni, "Melton Alfred-Johnnie Adams Chapter."  Isaac loved and was very proud of his Grambling Tigers.  Isaac was a dedicated and faithful drive for United Parcel Service for 25-years.  On September 14th at Ochsner American Legion Hospital, Isaac was called home to eternal rest.

Isaac leaves  to cherish his memories, his wife of over 40-years, Rebecca Tyler of Jennings, LA; one daughter, Acqueena Grant of Baton Rouge, LA; two sons, Isaac James (Shannon) Tyler, Jr. of Jennings, LA and Marcus (Faline) Daniels of Lake Arthur, LA; one sister, Andrea (Warren) Woods of Jennings, LA; one brother, Rogeous Randy (Harriet) Lawdins of Jennings, LA; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.

Isaac was preceded in death by his parents, Grace Clark Lawdins and Earnest Tyler; eight sisters and two brothers.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 25, 2026, at Union Baptist Church, 1014 S. Main Street in Jennings, LA.  Pastor Reverend Gerald W. Perkins Sr. will officiate.  Visiting will be in the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of celebration services.  Burial will be in Peterson Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Semien-Lewis Mortuary of Jennings, LA.
