James Earl Boutte, 40, a resident of Jennings, Louisiana, passed away on Thursday, January 13, 2022, at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital.  James was born on January 19, 1980, to Carlis Redeaux Boutte and John Berchman Boutte.  James was a well-known Disc Jockey "DJ" in the Jennings area and worked for Dunham Price Group as a truck driver. James was a guy that would help anyone in need.  His famous saying was, "It's gonna be ok."

James is survived by his mother, Carlis Boutte of Jennings, LA; his sisters, Racheal Boutte, Rebecca Boutte, both of Jennings, LA., Sondra Boutte and Sophia (Clinton) Perry, both of Jennings, LA., Debra Lynn Johnson-Walker, and Jonetta Boutte, both of Okalahoma City, OK; his brothers, John Boutte, Jr. of Oklahoma City, OK and Rayford James Johnson of Jennings, LA; his Godchild, Alizah Rogers of Lake Arthur, LA; his nephews, Jaylon (Taylor), Aaron, and Jamal Boutte; a host of other relatives and friends.

James was preceded in death by his father, John Berchman Boutte, Sr; his nephew, Trevian Boutte; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Mary & Popeye Miller.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, January 22, 2022, in the Church Chapel at Semien-Lewis Mortuary, 819 N. State Street, Jennings, LA.  Reverend Clinton Perry will officiate.  Visiting will be in the Chapel from 9:00 am to 11:00 am.  Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery under the direction of Semien-Lewis Mortuary.
