James Garland Brown, Sr. age 39 passed away in a Lafayette Hospital.  He was a native and life-long resident of Jennings, LA.  James was born on April 2, 1977 to Katherine Faye Brown and George McZeal in Jennings, LA.  He was educated in the Jefferson Davis Parish School System and was a graduate of Jennings High School.  James worked in the Oil Field Industry as a Roustabout.

James leaves to cherish his memories his fiancé, Alisha Sinegal; one son, James Garland Brown, Jr; two daughters, Jamesia Brown of Rayne, LA and Justice McZeal of Lake Arthur, LA; his father, George McZeal (Sharon) of Lake Arthur, LA; aunt, Shirley Carey of Baton Rouge, LA; one grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Catherine Faye Brown-McZeal; brother, Aaron Quinton Williams; maternal and paternal grandparents.

Homegoing celebration services wil be held on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at Mt. Triumph Baptist Church in Jennings, LA with Pastor Reverend Carl M. Fontenot, Sr. officiating.  Visitation will be in the church from 8:00 a.m. until the time of celebration services.  Interment will follow in the Benevolent Cemetery in Jennings, LA. under the direction of Semien-Lewis Mortuary of Jennings, LA.
