On Sunday, October 8, 2023, at 8:48am the Lord called Mrs. Jean Ethel Leopold Stevenson home to Glory.  She was the daughter of Lou Wilda and Phillip Leopold in Jennings, Louisiana.  She was a member of Our Lady Perpetual Help Catholic Church.  Jean worked as a beautician and nurse aid for many years.  She resided with her daughter Bennie until her death.

She leaves to cherish her memories, one daughter, Bennie Jean Cain Mamou; one brother, Eugene (Ida Mae) LePaul of Houston, Texas; cousin, George Gardnier of Houston, Texas; 5 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, a niece, host of nephews, relatives and friends.  She also leaves two special friends, Viney Edwards and Shawn Williams.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Terry Faye Stevenson; her grandson, Corp. Marcus A. Cain; 4 loving friends; Mrs. Annie Mae West, Mrs. Grace Daniels, Mrs. Hilda Guidry and Mrs. Annie B Barker. Along with Mrs. Jean, they were known as the "Casino 5"

Mrs. Jean will truly be missed.
