Jessica Marie Eaglin, 44, entered into eternal rest at her mother's residence on Wednesday, July 13, 2022.  Jessica was born on July 5, 1978 in Jennings, LA to Mable M. Eaglin and Darrell Drake, Sr.  Jessica accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age.  She was a member of New Jerusalem Baptist Church in Welsh, LA pastored by Rev. Nathan Stevens.  Jessica was a graduate of Jennings High School.  She was a very quiet person and loved her family and enjoyed playing with her nieces and nephews.  She loved collecting one-dollar bills.

Jessica is survived by her mother, Mable Marie Eaglin-Nixon; her father, Darrell Drake, Sr; her sisters, Pear Eaglin and Donisha Owens; her brother, Darrell Drake, Jr; her nieces, Zoey Eaglin and Ava Owens; her nephews, Zayden Daniels, Avery Owens, and Cody Drake; her stepmother, Janet Drake of Lake Charles; her uncles, Henry (Alta) Eaglin, Stephen (Trena) Eaglin, Wesley Drake, Gerald Drake, and Heath Drake; her aunts, Mary Owens, Cynthia Eaglin, and Emma Prudhomme.

Jessica was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Emma Eaglin and Frank Eaglin, Sr; her paternal grandparents, Della Drake and Gerald Drake, Sr; her stepfather, Edward Nixon; her cousin, Jessie Eaglin; her aunts, Sarah Levie , Marie Bellard Eaglin, and Norma Drake; her uncle Frank Eaglin, Jr.

Visiting with family and friends will be from 9:00 am - 11:00 am at New Jerusalem Baptist Church, 710 W Welsh Street, Welsh, LA.  Celebration of Life Services will begin at 11:00 am with Pastor Reverend Nathan J. Stevens officiating.  Interment will follow in East Ridge Cemetery in Welsh, LA under the direction of Semien-Lewis Mortuary of Jennings, LA.
