Jessie Albertine Charles, 82, entered into eternal rest on February, 19, 2014 at the Jennings American Legion Hospital. She was a native and resident of Jennings, LA and a retired Cook with the Jefferson Davis Parish School System. She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, pastored by Reverend Celsius Offor. Ms. Charles was a member of the Ladies Auxillary Council #132 in Jennings. Survivors include five sons, Leon Michael Charles, Richard Jude Charles, Cyril Anthony (Laura) Charles, all of Jennings, LA., Eric Joseph (Emma) Charles, Houston, TX., and Clifford James Charles, Lakeland, FL.; one sister, Jacqueline (Theron) Peterson, St. Louis, MO.; eleven Grandchildren; four Great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Saturday, March 1, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with Reverend Celsius Offor officiating. Visitation will be in the church from 8:00 a.m. until the time of funeral. Burial will be in the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church Cemetery under the direction of Semien-Lewis Mortuary of Jennings, LA.
