Mr. Joe Alfred Edwards, Sr. 69, a resident of Jennings, passed away on November 8, 2014 at Christus St. Patrick's Hospital in Lake Charles, LA. Joe was born in Lafayette, LA. to Martha Vickers Edwards and Wildon "Willie" Edwards. He was a member of Union Baptist Church of Jennings, pastored by Reverend Gerald W. Perkins Sr. Joe is survived by his children, Barthol Caesar Sr., Joe A. Edwards Jr., and Jonitta Edwards Adolph; brothers, Michael Edwards, Fulton Glen Edwards, Douglas Edwards and James Reginald Edwards; sisters, Rose Capdeville and Wanda Simon; grandchildren, Brittney Caesar, William Edwards, B. J. Caesar, Destinee' Caesar, Jeremiah Randolph, Wesley Randolph, Damyia Caesar and Arnitta Adolph; great-grandchild, Gabrielle. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bonita Caesar Edwards; parents, Willie & Martha Edwards; brothers, "Bobby" Carl Edwards and Herbert Edwards Sr. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 am Friday, November 14, 2014 in the David J. and Rosa W. Fondel Memorial Church Chapel at Semien-Lewis Mortuary in Jennings, LA., with Reverend Gerald W. Perkins Sr., officiating. Visitation will be in the Chapel from 8:00 am until time of Funeral. Burial will be in Benevolent Cemetery in Jennnings, LA., under the direction of Semien-Lewis Mortuary.
