Mr. Joe Nixon, 89, a life-long resident of Jennings, Louisiana entered into eternal rest on Monday, January 26, 2026, in Jennings, LA.  Joe was born on March 3, 1940, to the late Nathan Nixon and Edna Marie Bias-Nixon.  He was educated in the Jeff Davis Parish School System and later worked as Fork Lift Operator.  He was married to the love of his life, Laura Williams-Nixon.  Joe was a devoted member of St. Paul Baptist Church, pastored by Reverend Pernell R. Trent, St.  He was baptized at and early age and served as an Usher at his church until his health failed.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at St. Paul Baptist Church in Jennings, LA with Pastor Reverend Pernell R. Trent Sr. officiating.  Visiting with family and friends will be held in the church from 9:00 am until the time of Celebration Services.  Burial will follow in the Peterson Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Semien-Lewis Mortuary in Jennings, LA
