Mr. John Voris Harmon, 69 died on Friday, July 13, 2012 at Christus St. Patrick Hospital in Lake Charles, LA. Mr. Harmon was born to the late Gardis and Comilla Savoy Harmon. John worked as a self-employed mechanic and was a resident of Jennings, LA. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 21 in Semien-Lewis Mortuary's Church Chapel with Reverend Carl M. Fontenot Sr., officiating. Visitation will be from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the Funeral Home Church Chapel. Mr. Harmon is survived by 5-daughters; Linda Berry, Jennings, LA., Angelia Harmon of Maryland, Yolanda Yolanda Banks, of Los Angeles, Shirley (Dwight) Freeman of Virgina, Laresha Harmon of Sacremento, CA; 1-son; John Voris Harmon of Jennings; 1-sister; Gertie Pierre of Jennings; 1-brother; James "Jimmie" (Shirley) Harmon of Jennings; 15-grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by both parents, Gardis and Comilla Savoy Harmon.
