John Allen, III passed away on Thursday, August 3, 2017 at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital in Lake Charles, LA.  John was born in Lafayette, LA. to his parents, John Allen, Jr. and Josephine Blair Allen.  He was a retired employee of the city of Jennings, LA. and was a member of Mount Triumph Baptist Church in Jennings, LA., pastored by Reverend James Fontenot.

John leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Elnora Allen; six children, Keyera Allen and Kaneesha Allen both of Jennings, LA., Esther Hamilton of Crowley, LA., Nicole Hampton of Rayne, LA., Alana Monette of Oakdale, LA., and Zhamirea Rudolph of Scott, LA; a special friend, Wilda Jones of Austin. TX; two brothers, Cleveland Blair and Pernell Allen both of Jennings, LA; four sisters, Sherry (Olivia) Remo of Lake Charles, LA., Caletha Savoy of Jennings, LA., Eveldia (James) Williams, and Cassandra Rubin of Jennings, LA; thirteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

John was preceded in death by his parents, John Allen, Jr. & Josephine Allen; Elizabeth Harmon; maternal grandparents, Eve & Earl Blair; paternal grandparents, Mary and John Allen, Sr.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at Mount Triumph Baptist Church with Pastor C. James Fontenot officiating.  Visitation will begin at 9:00 am in  the church until the time of the Celebration of Life Services.
