Mrs. Johnnie "B" Briggs-Green, 93, affectionately known as Johnnie "B" passed away peacefully to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 while surrounded by her loving family at Camelot-Brookside in Jennings, LA.  She was a native and life-long resident of Jennings.  Johnnie "B" was born on March 26, 1925 to Willie Henry and Zenobia Etheridge-Henry.  She was educated in the Jefferson Davis Parish School System and later attended Cosmetology School in New Orleans, LA. and became a licensed Beautician.  She also worked as a Homemaker for the Caraway, Hoag and McNeally families in Jennings.

Johnny "B" was a faithful member of Mt. Triumph Baptist Church in Jennings, pastored by Reverend C. James Fontenot, where she served as a Deaconess, former Sunday School Superintendent, member of the Mission and was the senior mother of the church.

Johnnie "B" is survived by three son's, Arnell Briggs of Las Vegas, NV., Elliott Briggs and Kenneth Briggs Sr. both of Jennings, LA; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Her memories will be cherished by her family and many friends.

Johnnie "B" was preceded in death by her parents, Willie & Zenobia Henry; one son, Benton Ray Briggs; two sisters, Madeline Anderson and Norma Ned.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, February 6, 2019 in Mt. Triumph Baptist Church, 219 East G. C. Chaney Street, Jennings, LA.  Pastor Reverend C. James Fontenot will officiate and Reverend Carl M. Fontenot, Sr. will give the Eulogy.  Visitation will be in the church from 9:00 am until the time of the funeral.  Burial will be in Peterson Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Semien-Lewis Mortuary of Jennings, LA.
