It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother Julie Marie "TeeDee" Lowdins Bennett. Julie was born in Lake Charles, LA to Bertha Lowdins Eaglin on October 31, 1967. Julie grew up in Welsh, LA. She later moved to Jennings, LA. where she resided until her passing. Julie loved her family and was very proud of her role as a mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend.

She leaves behind to cherish her memories to her children, Alfred (Lacey) Lowdins, Zedrick (Chavon) Lowdins, Jamisha (Christopher) Lowdins and Alisha (Fredrick) Lowdins; 16 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren on the way; her mother, Bertha Lowdins; her sisters, Vera Stewart and LaTisha Lowdins; her brothers, Harold Lowdins, George Lowdins, Derrick Lowdins and Brandon Lowdins; her nanny, Retha Talbert; her sister-in-law, Samantha Duggs and her goddaughter, Ashley Bennett.

Julie was proceeded in death by her husband, Alfred Bennett; her maternal grandmother, Julia Lowdins; her brother, Dominique Lowdins; her godfather, Clarence Talbert Sr.; her son, Javon Lowdins and two grandchildren.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, January 13, 2024, at New Jerusalem Baptist Church, 710 Welsh St, Welsh, LA with Pastor Reverend Nathan T. Stevens will officiate.  Visiting will be held in the church from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm.  Burial will be in Eastridge Cemetery in Welsh, LA under the direction of Semien-Lewis Mortuary of Jennings, LA.
