Funeral services for Kathryn Malveaux, 94, will be at 12:00 noon, on Friday December 15, 2023, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 610 Louisiana Avenue, Lake Charles, LA. Pastor Rev. Joby Mathew, HGN will officiate.  Visiting with family and friends will be in the Church from 10:00 until the time of the funeral.  Interment will follow in the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Semien-Lewis Mortuary of Jennings, LA.

Ms. Malveaux was born on July 30, 1929, and she entered eternal rest at her residence on Wednesday, December 6, 2023.  Her mother was Daisy Stansbury of Lake Charles, Louisiana and her biological mother was Edmonia Ledeux of Compton, California. She was a long-time member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church.  Ms. Malveaux was the Director of Catholic Charities of Lake Charles, LA.  She was also a proud of graduate from W. O. Boston Colored High School.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Paul Malveaux; her eldest son, Ronald Paul Malveaux.

She leaves to cherish her memories, five children, Charles Malveaux (Yvonne Malveaux) of Lake Charles, LA, Daisy M. McLaurin of Dallas, TX, David "Scotty" Malveaux of Lafayette, LA., Terrell Malveaux (Mari Malveaux) of Ragley, LA., and Elizabeth Hudson of Rowlett, TX; 16 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
