Latricia Shawn Gant, 57, transitioned and left her earthly body on February 27, 2021.  Latricia was born on April 6, 1963, in Lake Charles, LA.  She was a graduate of Jennings High School.  Latricia accepted Christ at an early age and attended Union Baptist Church Pastored by Reverend Gerald S. Perkins, Sr. until her death.

Latricia leaves to cherish her memories, two daughters, Alma and Ronisha Gant of Lake Charles, LA; four sons, Andre Gant of Lake Arthur, LA, Sherman Gant of Houston, TX, Mark Gant of Breaux Bridge, LA., and Terrell Gant of Jennings, LA; two sisters, Ruby and Yolanda Gant of Jennings, LA; three brothers, Alonzo (Audrey) Gant, Jr., Robert and Geroge N. Gant of Jennings, LA; three beautiful grandchildren who she loved dearly with all her heart, Ailyn Gant, Aijhe Sinegal, and Aivy Prudhomme of Lake Charles, LA; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Latricia was preceded in death by her father, Alonzo Gant, Sr; her mother, Alma J. Gant; her sisters, Jarita and Carla Gant; two nephews, Deidrick and Trey Gant.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 6, 2021, at Union Baptist Church, 1014 South Main Street, Jennings, LA.  Reverend Gerald S. Perkins, Sr. will officiate.  Visiting will be in the church from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral.
