Mrs. Laura Rideaux, 96 Entered into eternal rest on Sunday, March 13, 2011 at the Jennings Guest House in Jennings, LA. Mrs. Rideaux was born on September 7, 1914 in Opelousas, LA to the late Louis Chavis and Ophelia Taylor Chavis. Mrs. Rideaux had previously worked as a Cafeteria worker with the Jefferson Davis Parish School Board. She was a faithful member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Jennings, LA. Mrs. Rideaux leaves to cherish her memory, three sons; Jessie (Alberta) Guidry of Jennings, LA., Sidney (Edna) Babineaux and Harold (Arlene) McZeal, both of Houston, TX., three sisters; Mrs. Willie (Paul) Lewis of Opelousas, LA., Mrs. Delores Cormier and Mrs. Irene Dartez, both of Jennings, LA., one brother; Louis (Shirley) Chavis of Jennings, LA., and a host of Grandchildren and Great-grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 am March 19, 2011 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with Reverend Celsius Offor, Pastor officiating. Visitation will be at the Church from 8:00 am until the time of Funeral Mass. Burial will be in the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church Cemetery under the direction of Semien-Lewis Mortuary.
