Leonard Charles Willis, 69, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, July 17, 2022 at Landmark of Lake Charles.  Leonard was born in Lafayette, Louisiana to Isaac Israel Willis and Audrey Mae Duplechain-Willis.  Leonard accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age.  Leonard was a 1971 graduate of Washington High School where he was a member of the Band.  Upon completing high school, Leonard enlisted in the United State Air Force and served four years and received an honorable discharge.  Upon returning home from his service in the Air Force, he worked for  Northrop Grumman Corporation's Lake Charles Maintenance and Modification Center as an Air Craft Mechanic.  He later pursued his passion for cooking and worked as a Chef at various restaurants with his last employer being L'Auberge Casino Resort of Lake Charles, LA. Leonard married the love of his life, Cheryl Ann Smith on January 18, 1991.

Leonard is survived by his wife, Cheryl Ann Smith-Willis; his son, Jermaine Smith, Sr; his daughters, Ashley Nicole (Mackenzie) Smith and Kayla Smith; his brothers, Stafford (Shawntel) Willis and Darrel Willis; his sisters, Marlene (John) Garrett, Debra (Clinton) Conner, Pamela (Bryant) Hawkins, and Stephanie (Leo) Citizen; 14 grandkids.

Leonard was preceded in death by his parents Isaac and Audrey Mae Willis.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 10 am Tuesday, July 26, 2022 in the Church Chapel at Semien-Lewis Mortuary, 819 State Street in Jennings, LA.  Visiting with family and friends will be held in the Chapel from 8 am to 10 am.  Burial will follow in South West Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Jennings, Louisiana under the direction of Semien-Lewis Mortuary of Jennings, LA.
