Linda Diane
Clark
Apr 29, 1948 — Mar 31, 2025
Pasadena
Linda was born on April 29, 1948. She wast the fouth child born to Ella Mae Clark and reared by Tennessee Fields II. Her early years of life were spent in Jennings, LA. As a child she was christened by the late Dr. G.C. Chaney of Union Baptist Church where she attended.
Although there were no education, nor social programs available for her, her mother and siblings took the time with her communication skills. She was a fast learner and never accepted "NO."
On August 13, 1982, Linda moved to California to live with her big sister, Vivian. It was at that time she was born again. On the 1st Sunday of October 1982, she was baptized by the late Rev. Sterling A. Brown of the Greater New Guide Church of Altadena, California. This is where she attended services regularly until her passing.
Linda was enrolled in the Avante Adult Program. She was trained to communicate using an eye gage computer. After the training, she mastered several of the hard programs. When asked how she found different programs, she would smile.
Linda enjoyed shopping, going to church, going for walks in the neighborhood, and train rides. She didn't really care where it was, she just enjoyed getting out of the house. Everywhere she went she would light up the room with her smile and command attention with that winsome personality.
On March 31, 2025, God summoned his "Precious Angel" to come home to enter her eternal rest. We will miss that smile, her cries, and her presence. But she left us with memories that we will never forget.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ella Mae and Tennessee Fields; brothers, James Fields, Joseph Donald Davis; sister, Joyce Warren Benn; grandparents, Joe and Ella Clark.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory sisters, her "Sister Mama" and best friend Vivian Clark of Pasadena, CA, Anita Bias of Jennings, LA, Karen Fields of Moor Park, CA, Venessa Dugas (Forest) of Lake Charles, LA, Janet Jajola of Las Vegas, NV, Patricia Nelson (Ernest) of Alexandria, LA; brothers, Craig Clark (Lanier) of Cabot, AK, Terry Fields (Robin) of Luling, LA, Tennessee Fields III of Pasadena, CA, and Frederick Fields of Jennings, LA; one living aunt, Gwen Clark Sheard of Claremont, CA; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews , as well as cousins, friends, church members, and neighbors.
Celebration of Life Services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, April 17, 2025 at Union Baptist Church, 1014 S. Main St in Jennings, LA. Reverend Gerald W. Perkins Sr. will officiate. A visitation will be held from 10:00 am until the time of Celebration Services.
