Linda Joyce Guidry-Guillory, 71, passed peacefully at her residence while surrounded by her loving family.  Linda was born in Welsh, Louisiana on July 18, 1951, to Wilma J. Guidry and Harry D. Guidry, Jr.  She was a graduate of Bethune High School in Welsh, Louisiana and was later employed by the Jefferson Davis Parish School Board as a School Bus Aid.  Linda was a devoted member of New Jerusalem Baptist Church in Welsh, LA. pastored by Reverend Nathan T. Stevens.  Linda was married to the late, John L. Guillory and to that union, there were two daughters, Stacy and Casey.

Linda was preceded in death by her husband, John L. Guillory; her parents, Wilma Johnson Guidry & Harry D. Guidry, Jr; two brothers, William "Bubba" Guidry and Edward James Guidry; two sisters, Cheryl Brown and Juanita Simon.

Linda leaves to cherish her fond memories, two daughters, Stacy (Norton) Destin and Casey Porter; one brother, Harry (Christine) Guidry; two sisters, Debbie (William) Frazier and Wilmanette Guidry; two granddaughters, Tyla M. Porter and Tylyn R. Porter.

Celebration of Life Services at 12:00 pm on Friday, November 25, 2022 at New Jerusalem Baptist Church in Welsh, LA.  Reverend Nathan T. Stevens will officiate.  Visiting with family and friends will be in the church from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.  Burial will be in Eastridge Cemetery in Welsh, LA under the direction of Semien-Lewis Mortuary of Jennings, LA.
