Linda Gail Mouton-Bush, 66
, entered into eternal rest on Monday, March 15, 2021. She was born on Monday, March 14, 1955, in Lafayette, Louisiana to Leroy Mouton and Dolores Chevis. She graduated from Jennings High School in 1973 and went on to attend McNeese State University.
Through the years she had a career in apartment management which allowed her to travel and make numerous friends. She later retired and moved to Alabama to be closer to her family. She was a dedicated mother to her four sons and loved by all of her grandchildren. She was an amazing cook and loved cooking; she made a mean pan of biscuits. She had an infectious laugh that could make anyone smile.
Linda is survived by her four sons: Charles (Artiesha), Malcolm (Jocelyn), Marlon (Shalonda), and Otis, Jr. (Talia); her grandsons: Michael, Dairien,
Kristopher, Arte', Delawnte, and Bryan (deceased); her granddaughters: Jaslyn, Kayla, Erin, Nya, Artez, and Delawnna; 3 great-grandsons and 3 great-granddaughters. She is also survived by her sisters: Cynthia (Cleve), Sheryl (Elbert, Sr.), Debra (Ronald); and brothers: Cory (Danita), Alvin (Tika), Gregory, Joseph (Lauren), Larry, and Jeremy; uncles: Louis Chavis, Jr. and Dennis Mouton; aunts: Gloria Chevis and Audrey Leday; godfather: Jesse Guidry; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and godchildren. Linda also loved and was loved by Mary Bush and The Bush family. She also maintained very special relationships with Cleo and Brandon.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Celebration of Life Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 27, 2021, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 920 S. Broadway, Jennings, LA. Father Jude Fernando, T.O.R. will officiate. A visitation will be held from 8:00 a.m to 9:45 a.m. in the Church Chapel at Semien-Lewis Mortuary, 819 N. State Street, Jennings, LA. A Rosary will be recited at 10:15 a.m. in the Mortuary Church Chapel. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Cemetery in Jennings, LA. under the direction of Semien-Lewis Mortuary of Jennings.
