Ms. Louella "LuLu" Mae Rubin 62, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 28, 2018 at her residence surrounded by her family. LuLu was a native and life-long resident of Lake Charles, LA. She was born on September 26, 1956 to the late Alton "Rockin Dopsie" Rubin Sr.; mother, Elvina LeBlanc Rubin in Lafayette, LA.
She was a manager at Figure 8, Player's Choice, Jones Fine Fox, The Doll House, Y2K, and Festival City.

Survivors include her mother, Elvina LeBlanc Rubin, of Lafayette, LA; three daughters; Tamika (Randy) Bias, Shamika (Fabian Stevenson) Guillory, and Marissa Bias all of Lake Charles. Four sisters; Esther Rubin Simpson of Dallas, TX., Audrey Rubin of Carencro, LA., Alice Rubin (Joseph) Henry of Houston, TX., and Mary Joyce Woods of Carencro, LA. Four brothers; Alton (Paula Glaude) Rubin Jr., Michael Anthony (Rosalyn) Rubin, Dewayne Issac (Erica Jolivette) Rubin of Lafayette, LA., and David (Tina) Rubin of Metairie, LA. Eight grandchildren; Aali'Jia Bias, Aa'Sialynn Fuller, Walter Rubin, Dy'len Rubin, A'Ziona Guillory, Ky'lon Guillory, A'Randee Bias, and Fabain Stevenson Jr. One honorary daughter, Tatanisha Jackson, and long time best friends, Joanna LaFleur, and Betty Guillory, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Alton "Rockin Dopsie" Rubin, grandparents; Walter Rubin, Eunice Batiste, Wilton LeBlanc, and Alice Jean Louis. One brother-in-law, Michael Woods.
Funeral services for LuLu will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 5, 2019 at True Light Baptist Church in Lake Charles, LA. located at 1518 Gertsner Memorial Drive. Visitation will start at 8:00 A.M. in the church until time of service. Deacon Elray Bushnell will officiate. Burial will be at Cavalry Cemetery located in Lafayette, LA. under the direction of Semien-Lewis Mortuary.
