Ms. Lourine Magee, 78 was a native of Sumrall, MS and a resident of Lake Charles, LA.  Loraine passed away at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital on Friday, July 7, 2017.  She was born on September 25, 1938 to her parents, Lucille Barnes-Magee and John Magee.  She was a member of Blake Street Church of Christ pastored by Brother Tommy Jordan.

Lourine leaves to cherish her memories, five children, Karen Magee of Lake Charles, LA., Andrea (Kenneth) Thompson of Baytown, TX., Lemmetj (Mimi) Magee of Hattisburg, MS., Alvin Magee of New Orleans, LA., and Michael (Lisa) Magee of Wylie, TX; three brothers, James (Carrie) Magee, Clifford (Ilean) Magee, and Ray (Johnnie Mae) Magee all of Columbia, MS; one sister, Helen Lampton of Lake Charles, LA; sixteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in by her parents John & Lucille Magee; two brothers J.C. Magee and Ed Willie Magee; one sister Lottie Mae Magee.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 am Saturday, July 15, 2017 at Blake Street Church of Christ, located at 103 N. Blake Street in Lake Charles, LA 70601 with Brother Johnnie Lewis officiating.  Visitation will be in the church from 9:00 am until 11:00 am.
