Sister Lovenia Woods Comeaux, 76, transitioned from her earthly home to her eternal home on Sunday, November 28, 2021, while at her residence.  Sister Comeaux was born on August 4, 1945, to the late Rose Woods and Earl Woods in Elton, Louisiana.  She later married the love of her life, Fred Douglas Comeaux, Sr., and to that union, three children were born, Lohoma, Gail, and Fred Jr.  Sister Comeaux was a dedicated member of Plesant Hill Baptist Church in Lake Charles, LA., pastored by Reverend Dr. Kieran Coleman, where she served as a Deaconess.

Sister Comeaux leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, Fred Douglas Comeaux, Sr; three children, Lohaoma Comeaux, Gail (Andre) Fontenot, and Fred (Tosha) Comeaux, Jr; one brother, Leonard Woods; two sisters, Laura Thierry and Georgeanna Simon; her grandchildren, Justin Comeaux, Alexis Wiltz, Douglas Comeaux, Wayland Comeaux, Keyandra Comeaux, Brandon Fontenot, Okesian Greenhouse, Meagan Fontenot, Denzel Fontenot, and Rochelle Comeaux; great-grandchildren, Maddie Gordon, Austin Fontenot, Deon Comeaux, Makayla Comeaux, Sarah Comeaux, Xi Fontenot, Summer Comeaux, and Elizabeth Gordon.

Sister Comeaux was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Rose Woods; sisters, Ida Babineaux, Geraldine Morrow, and Wilda Ceaser; brothers, Robert Woods, Earl Woods, Jr., Leroy Woods, and Lawrence Woods.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, December 11, 2021 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church 2333 See St. Lake Charles, LA 70601.  Reverend Dr. Kieran D. Coleman will officiate.  Visiting will be in the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of celebration services.  Burial will be in Eternal Rest Cemetery in Elton, LA under the direction of Semien-Lewis Mortuary of Jennings, LA.
