Luches Coleman, Jr., 77, a resident of Jeff Davis Living Center, transitioned from earthly labor to heavenly reward on Saturday, December 21, 2024. Luches was born in Jennings, LA on July 25, 1947, to Luches Coleman Sr. and Bertha Lee Jones-Coleman. Luches accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age and attended Mallalieu United Methodist Church in Jennings. He was educated in the Jefferson Davis Parish School System and later was employed as a Truck Driver. He moved to Houston when he was eighteen where he worked most of his life. Luches loved driving big trucks and at one time, owned one of his own.
Luches is survived by his children, Dianna Coleman, Tammy (Derek) Jackson, Tory Coleman and Keemas Jackson, all of Houston, Texas; seven grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren; his sisters, Veronica (Michael) Boutte of Lake Charles, Louisiana and Glenda Coleman of Jennings, Louisiana.
Luches was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma Coleman; one daughter, LaDonna Williams; his parents, Bertha Lee Jones-Coleman and Luches Coleman, Sr.
A Memorial Service will be held in celebration of Luches' life and legacy on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at 3:00 pm in the Church Chapel at Semien-Lewis Mortuary. Minister Franklin D. Lewis Sr. will officiate. Visiting with family and friends will be held in the Chapel from 2:00 pm until the time of the memorial service.
