Mrs. Madeline Ethridge Pierre , age 81, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, March 31, 2016 while at her residence surrounded by her loving husband and family. Madeline was a native and resident of Jennings, LA.  She was born on January 9, 1935 to her loving parents, Mary Johnson and George Etheridge.  She was a member of Union Baptist Church, pastored by Reverend Gerald W. Perkins, Sr.

Madeline leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, Clarence Pierre, Jr. of Jennings, LA; son, Kenneth W. Pierre of Dallas, TX; daughters, Shelia M. (Joe Lewis) Clark of Frierson, LA., Gloria P. (Perry W.) Robinson of Lake Charles, LA., and Nicole Madeline Pierre of Crowley, LA; brothers, Robert Rubin and John ("Boo") Johnson, both of Jennings, LA; 16 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Johnson; father, George Ethridge; son, Lawrence Jermone Nicholas; daughters, Glenda E. Campbell and Dion D. Pierre-Neely; sisters, Aggie B. Mouton and Golden Batiste; brother, Warren Ethridge.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at Union Baptist Church in Jennings, LA. with Pastor Reverend Gerald W. Perkins, Sr. officiating.  Visitation will be in the church from 8:00 am until the time of the funeral.  Interment will follow in Peterson Memorial Cemetery in Jennings, LA. under the direction of Semien-Lewis Mortuary of Jennings, LA.
