Margaret Jolene Reed, a long-time resident of the Jennings area, passed away Wednesday, the 27th of September 2023 at the Acadia Extended Care Hospital in Crowley, LA.

Born in 1960 in Lafayette, Margaret loved good food and socializing with friends and family.  In her early years she enjoyed going to plays with friends and church revivals and had a wonderful smile that could light up a room.

She is survived by her son, Erroll C. Reed, Jr.; her daughter Brittany J. Reed; her siblings who live in Southern California, Texas, and Louisiana which brought great joy to her later years; her grandkids and a host of other relatives and friends.

Celebration of Life Services will be at 1:00 pm Saturday, October 7, 2023, in the Church Chapel at Semien-Lewis Mortuary in Jennings, LA.  Visiting with family and friends will be held from 11:00 am until the time of celebration services.  Cremation will follow under the direction of Semien-Lewis Mortuary of Jennings, LA
