Margaret Obey Seeley Simon,
at the age of 89, died on July 31, 2017 at home with her family by her side. Margaret was born June 21, 1928 in Jennings, Louisiana to the late Oscar Pogue Seeley, Sr. and Louise Newell.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Fred Simon and Barbara Harris of Vacaville, CA., Clarence (Carol) Simon, Flora Mixon, Geraldine (Charles) Daniel, Howard Simon of Jennings, LA., Stanley (Ruthia) Simon of Elton, LA., Wanda Bell of Jennings, LA., Dwight (Michelle) Simon of Abbeville, LA., Judy (Melvin) Stephenson of Greenville, TX., and Mark Simon of Jennings, LA; her brothers, Olin Paul (Sheila) Seeley, Sr., and Oliver (Geneva) Seeley; her sisters, Audrey Lyons, Mary Grace Prevost, Gloria (Ollie) Lovings, Norma Larry, and Delores (Raymond) Wilson; thirty-four grandkids, ninety-one great grandkids, twenty-four great-great grandkids and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members.
She is joined in death by her loving husband, Lawrence H. Simon, Sr; her parents, Oscar P. Seeley and Louise Newell; her siblings, Katherine Charles, Lela Mae Bray, Donald Seeley, Howard Seeley, Oscar P. Seeley, Jr., Ivory Virgarie, Flora Bell Taylor, Virian Anderson, Ola Gilbeaux; her son, Lawrence H. Simon, Jr; her great grandkids, Asaunti Pierson, Miracle Simon, and Hayden Blueitt.
She will be layed to rest on Saturday, August 5, 2017. Services will began with Visitation at 8:00 am until 11:00 am at St. Paul Baptist Church, 1502 S. Main Street, Jennings, LA., and Funeral Services in the church at 11:00 am. Burial will be at Peterson Cemetery in Jennings, LA.
