Marlene Johnson-Fontenot 59, a native Silverwood, LA and a resident of Lake Charles, LA, passed away at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital.  Marlene formally worked as a sitter until her health failed.

Marlene leaves to cherish her memories, five children, Nathaniel (Mikka) Johnson of Wrightstown, NJ., Freddie (Celisha) Johnson, Chris Fontenot, Jr., Josh (Jamee) Fontenot, and Dazarae Fontenot all of Lake Charles, LA.

Marlene was preceded in death by her husband, Christouvle Johnson, Sr.; daughter, Marlissa Fontenot.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 28, 2019, at Semien-Lewis Mortuary, 819 N. State Street, Jennings, LA.  Reverend Craig Sam will officiate.  Visitation will be in the church chapel from 9:00 am until the time of the funeral.  Burial will be in the Silverwood Community Cemetery under the direction of Semien-Lewis Mortuary.
