Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Ann Beverly-Pete, 82, will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, November 21, 2018 in the David J. & Rosa W. Fondel Church Chapel at Semien-Lewis Mortuary, 819 N. State Street, Jennings, LA.  Reverend Jered Thomas, Pastor of the First Baptist Church of Lake Arthur, LA. will officiate.  Visitation will be in the chapel from 9:00 am - 11:00 am.  Mrs. Pete entered into eternal rest on Monday, November 19, 2018 at the Golden Age Nursing Home in Welsh, LA.  Burial will be in the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Semien-Lewis Mortuary of Jennings..

Mary was a native and resident of Lake Arthur, LA.  She was born January 26, 1936 to the late Anderson Beverly and Stella Ann Maxile-Beverly.  Ma ry was educated in the Jefferson Davis Parish School System and later married Thomas Pete, Sr.

Mary leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, Thomas Pete, Sr; five sons, Thomas Pete, Jr. (Valerie) of Lake Charles, LA., James Pete (Tennille) of Lake Arthur, LA., Dennis Pete (Annie) of Breaux Bridge, LA., Rayford Pete (Shalonda) of Benton, TX., Andrew Pete (Elva) of Dallas, TX; two daughters, Adele Pete and Stella Pete, both of Lake Arthur, LA; four God children, Rebecca Tyler, Carolyn Charles, Sherard Benoit and Sherek Benoit; seventeen grandchildren and thirty-one great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Anderson & Stella Beverly; brothers & sisters.
