Mary Margaret Richmond, 63, passed away peacefully at her residence while surrounded by her loving family and friends.  Mary was born on February 17, 1955 to Joseph Richmond and Mary Magdalene Richmond.  Mary was a graduate of Westlake High School and Baytown Technical College as a Certified Nursing Assistant.  Mary loved her family and enjoyed helping others in any way that she could.

Mary is survived by her children, Shonda (Darryl) Warrior of Iowa, LA., Marcus Richmond, Erica (Darrell) Mitchell, Virginia Richmond, Takesa Richmond, Urania Richmond, Jacoby Richmond, Donovan (Kirsten) Richmond, Darryll (Shawndreka) Richmond, and Dedrick Richmond all of Lake Charles, LA; brothers, Joseph (Helen) Richmond of Houston, TX., Mark Vital of Lake Charles, LA. and Jimmy Lewis of Lafayette, LA; sisters, Beverly Baxter of Houston, TX., Catherine Anderson, Lou Ann Richmond, Carol (Mike); Mary (Ivory) Durgan, Cassie (Mike) Vitals and Theresa Anderson all of Lake Charles, LA; twenty-seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Richmond and Mary Magdalene Richmond; brother, Patrick Frank; sister, Vanetta Richmond; son, Joseph Marshall Richmond.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at First New Life Baptist Church, 311 1st Avenue, Lake Charles, LA., Reverend Gerald Davis officiating. Visitation will be in the church until the time of religious services.  Burial will be in Perkins Cemetery in Westlake, LA. under the direction of Semien-Lewis Mortuary of Jennings, LA.
