Mrs. Maudry Mae Duhon Simon, 87 , passed away peacefully while surrounded by her loving family on July 1, 2018 in the Jeff Davis Living Center in Jennings, LA.  Maudry was a native of Mermentau, LA and a resident of Jennings, LA.  She was born on January 7, 1931 to her loving mother, Cora Lee Barker & father, Eli Duhon.  She was married to the late, Willie Fred Simon.  Maudry was a faithful member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, a 50 year member of the Knights of Peter Claver Ladies Auxillary where she held many offices.  She was an honorary member of the Ladies Sodality and a member of the Jefferson Davis Parish Sheriff's Elderly On-Call Program.  Maudry retired from the Jefferson Davis Parish Library after over 30-years of service.

Maudry leaves to cherish her memories, three daughters, Fredetta Wade of Los Angeles, CA., Hilda Michelle (Patrick) Abraham of Jennings, LA., Ashley Maria (Alex) Blanchard of Jennings, LA; three sons, Carl J. Simon of Long Beach, CA., Elliot J. Simon of Columbus, OH., Kevin M. Simon of Los Angeles, CA; Sister-in-law, Jackie (Theron) Peterson of St. Louis, MO; seven grandchildren, Quincy Roshon, Amber Rubin, Brock Fontenot, Lance Simon, Erin Simon, Zoie Abraham, Patrick (Petey) Abraham; twelve great-grandchildren.

Maudry was preceded in death by her husband, Willie F. Simon; father, Eli Duhon; mother, Cora Lee Barker Duhon; daughter-in-law, Jill Simon.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 7, 2018 in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 920 South Broadway Street in Jennings, LA., with Reverend Jude Fernando officiating.  Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm on Friday, July 6, 2018 at Semien-Lewis Mortuary, 819 N. State Street in Jennings, LA. and 9:00 am - 11:00 am on Saturday, July 7, 2018 in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church.  Burial will be in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church Cemetery in Jennings, LA. under the direction of Semien-Lewis Mortuary of Jennings, LA.
