On Monday, August 17, 2020, in the peaceful hours of a new day, Milford Henry Reed, Jr. was elevated to a new status.  He left this earthly existence and took flight to his spiritual reward and life everlasting.

Milford Henry Reed, Jr., affectionately called "Man" by family and friends, was born on March 19, 1956 to the late Milford Reed, Sr. and Bessie Reed.

Milford was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System and graduated from Edmondson High School in 1974.  After graduation, he served in the Maryland National Guard for a year before he enlisted in the United State Army.  During his eighteen year with the military, he traveled to many places to include Fort Polk, Louisiana, where he met the love of his life and decided to make Louisiana his home.  When he left the military, he had obtained the rank of Sargent.  After the military, Milford worked at Jeff Davis Electric in 1995 where worked until he became ill in July 2020.

On October 17, 1992, he was united in holy matrimony to Nordell Sanders, the "Love of his life" and became the bonus father to Keishawna and on August 12, 1994, Danielle was born, Nordell became a bonus mother to D'Kissy.

Milford received the Lord Jesus as his personal Savior and joined Union Baptist Church of Jennings under the leadership of Pastor Gerald Perkins, where he became a Deacon.  He was also a member of the Masons and enjoyed the fellowship with the brethren.

Milford was always a hard worker.  He was a good provider and loved his family dearly.  His wife, children, and grandchildren were a very important part of his life and he loved making them happy.  Milford loved to talk and could have a conversation with you for hours.  He also had a great sense of humor.

Milford was preceded in death by his parents, Milford & Bessie Reed; his brother, Anthony Reed.

Milford leaves to mourn his memories, his loving and devoted wife, Nordell; daughters, D'Kissy Bristow (Travis), Keishawna Davis (Alvin), and Danielle Reed; five grandsons, Travis, Alvin, Jamell, Cameron, and Kyson; one granddaughter, Payton; three sisters, Esther Johnson, Mildred Reed, Linda Reed, all of Baltimore, Maryland; four sister-in-laws, Linda Alfred, Michelle Sanders (Reginald), Lisa Charles (Kenneth), and Deidre Sanders; two brother-in-laws, Terry Simon (Wanda), Kirk Simon (Louwanda); two aunts, Bessie Parker and Lizzie Burton of Baltimore, Maryland; three goddaughters, Lillian Sanders, Quantisha Lewis, and Brittany Brown, and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends
