Nelson Wane Nixon, 61, of Jennings, Louisiana passed away on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at St. Christina Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Pineville, LA.  Nelson was born on March 5, 1964, in Lake Charles, LA to Rose Marie Bias-Sinegal.  He accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age and was a member of St. Paul Baptist Church in Jennings, pastored by Rev. Pernell R. Trent, Sr., where he served as an Usher for many years.   Nelson was formerly employed by the Jefferson Davis Parish School Board as a Custodian.  He enjoyed spending time with friends and family, cooking and enjoying a meal.  Nelson was also a long-time member of the Voices of Brotherhood.

Nelson leaves to cherish his memories, three brothers, Arthur (Brenda) Nixon, Joseph L. (Stacy) Sinegal, Jr., and Roland Sinegal, Sr; three sisters, Renetta (Brent) Robinson, Shanella (Donald) Boudreaux, and Rosalyn Sinegal; his good friend Bryant Randolph; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Nelson was preceded in death by his parents, Rose Marie and Joseph L. Sinegal, Sr; two brothers, Edward Nixon and Michael Nixon; his maternal grandparents, Edna Bias and William Lehman; two aunts, Reba Francis and Betty Sue White; five uncles, Edward Nixon, Able Nixon, Melvin Nixon, Lee Allison Bias, and Frank Lehman.

Visiting with family and friends will be held form 9:00 am to 11:00 am Saturday, June 14, 2025, at St. Paul Baptist Church, 1502 S. Main Street in Jennings, LA.  Celebration of Life Services will be held at 11:00 am in the church with Pastor Reverend Pernell R. Trent, Sr. officiating.
