Mrs. Nolia Matthews, 99 Nolia Matthews went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 in her residence. She was a native of Mamou, LA and lived in Jennings, LA most of her life. Nolia was married to the late Adam Matthews and she was member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic, pastored by Father Celsius Offor. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday , August 23, 2014 in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with Father Celsius Offor officiating. Burial will be in the Parkview Cemetery under direction of Semien-Lewis Mortuary of Jennings. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. in the Church until time of funeral. Nolia is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Julia Fontenot of Beaumont, TX; one sister, Verdia Rhone of Oakland, CA; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
