Norwen Troy Francis, Sr., 57, passed away on Friday, January 22, 2021, at Lakeview Regional Medical Center in Covington, LA.  Norwen was born on April 4, 2021, to Ristine J. Francis and Doris Francis in Jennings, LA.  He was educated in the Jefferson Davis.  Norwen was a member of Immanuel Worship Center in Jenning, LA., pastored by Terry Lee.  He had retired from PPG Industries and Axiall Corporation.

Norwen leaves to cherish his memories, his father, Doris Francis, 5 sons, Ya'Darrell Charles, Cory Charles Sr., Diraux Francis, Norwen T. Francis Jr., and Casey Mitchell; 2 daughters, Quanishia Mitchell, Crystal Hayes; 2 brothers, Harley Francis and Ricky Lee Francis; a host of nieces, nephews, and grandkids.

Norwen was preceded in death by his mother, Ristine Francis; his brother, Joseph Levi.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, January 30, 2021, in the Church Chapel at Semien-Lewis Mortuary, 819 N. State Street in Jennings, LA.  Visiting will be in the Chapel from 8:00 am to 11:00 am.  Burial will be in Benevolent Cemetery under the direction of Semien-Lewis Mortuary of Jennings, LA.

A Celebration of Life Service will be Saturday, January 30, 2021, at 11:00 AM in the Church Chapel of Semien-Lewis Mortuary, 819 N. State Street, Jennings, LA., Pastor Mark Edwards will officiate. Window viewing will be from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM.  Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until the time of Celebration Services.  Burial will be in Benevolent Cemetery in Jennings, LA.
