Mrs. Patsy Jean James, age 52, was called from her earthly labor to her heavenly reward on June 2, 2015. Mrs. James was a native and life-long resident of Lake Charles, LA. She was born on December 26, 1962 to Martin Anthony "Bubby" and Martha Lee Simien. She was a faithful member at Greater St Mary Baptist Church. She served on the On Pastor for Jesus Ministry and the Back to Church Ministry. She was a Intermediate Women Mission Auxiliary Teacher, Sunday School Teacher, and a member of the Gospel and Mass Choirs. Mrs. James is survived by her husband, Herbert Lee James of Lake Charles, LA.; three daughters, Elizabeth (Wendell) Jones of Ville Platte, La.; Joy (Gary) Jones, Hope (Brandon) Malbrough both of Lake Charles, La.; Faith N. Singleton of Arlington, Tx.; two sons, Herman (Cheryl) Singleton Sr. of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; and Sherman (Shamica) Singleton of Lake Charles, La.. Three sisters, Erica R. Simien, Janice (Darrell) Drake, and Danielle M. Simien all of Lake Charles, La. Her mother, Martha Lee Simien-Harrison of Lake Charles, La.. She was proceeded in death by her father, Martin Anthony "Bubby" Simien; one brother, Mark A. Simien; one sister, Susan E. Doucet; one niece, Des'Zaria A. Diggs; and one grandson, Hayden A. Malbrough. Visitation is Monday, June 8, 2015 at Greater St Mary Baptist Church at 11:00 A.M. until time of service. Funeral service is at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Samuel C. Tolbert officiating. Burial will be in Combre Memorial Park in Lake Charles, LA. under the direction of Semien-Lewis Mortuary. 2 Timothy 4:7-8: I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
