Mr. Paul Charles, Jr., 70, affectionately know called "PC" by co-workers and "Bro" by his family. Paul was a resident & native of Jennings, Louisiana and entered into eternal rest on Sunday, July 13, 2025. Paul was born on August 20, 1954 to the late Paul Charles, Sr. and Maude Handy-Charles. Paul was baptized at an early age at St. Paul Baptist Church in Jennings, LA. He was educated in the Jefferson Davis Parish School System and later was employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant in Welsh, LA. Paul also worked as a Taxi Cab Driver in Houston, Texas, as a Laborer at the Rice Mill, a Crawfish Peeler, and a Laborer at the Shipyard.
Paul was married to the love of his life, Judy Ann Lowdins-Charles. He loved spending time with his family and was always giving advise to his grandchildren on how to do better in life. Paul love listening to all genres of music, watching western shows on television, listening to Minister Louis Farrakhan, and spending time outdoors. Paul enjoyed cooking and barbequing.
Paul leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Judy Ann Charles; three children, Paul Charles, Jr. of Lake Charles, LA., Shantell Brown of Houston, TX., and Santrell M. Lowdins (Corey Gabriel) of Jennings, LA; eleven grandchildren, Ke'Irra D. Prudhomme & Ke'Ona L. Prudhomme both of Jennings, LA., Ke'Andre Prudhomme of San Antonio, TX., Kenneth Prudhomme III, & Sha-Kayla L. McZeal all of Jennings, LA., Qwindarrol Lowdins of Houston, TX., Arshon J. Brown of Jennings, LA., Pryce T. Charles of Beaumont, TX, and Paisley G. Charles of Lake Charles, LA; six great-grandchildren, Kailee R. Williams, Ra'monie E. Williams, Khaza D. Williams, Sakai Prudhomme, Dallas Prudhomme, and Diamond Lowdins; a host of other relatives and friends.
Paul was preceded in death by on son-in-law, Ronald Milton Brown; his parents, Maude & Paul Charles, Sr; one sister, Viola Landry; two brothers, Rayfield Viney and Overton Charles.
Celebration of Life Services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, August 2, 2025 at Mt. Triumph Baptist in Jennings, LA. Reverend Dr. Kieran D. Coleman will officiate. Visiting with family and friends will be held in the church from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery under the direction of Semien-Lewis Mortuary of Jennings, LA.
