Mr. Philip Gregory Chaison, age 88, departed this life on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at Camelot Nursing Home located in Jennings, LA.

Mr. Chaison was a native of Jennings, LA, and a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. He serve in the Holy Name Society and Ushers, and was a member of the Jeff Davis Parish Sheriff's Elderly on Call Program. He retired after many years of service as a brick layer after serving a number of years in the United States Army.

Mr. Chaison is survived by his sister, Mrs. Magadelen (Junious) Handy of Jennings; along with a host of nieces and nephews.

He he was preceded in death by his mother, Mamie L. Arceneaux; his father, Philip Gilbert Chaison; three sister; Palver Jones, Margie Jones, Regina Francis, and four brothers; Roscoe, Elmo, Donald, and Darrel Chaisson.

Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with Father Vincent Vadakkedath officiating. Visitation will be in the church from 8:00 A.M. to 9:00 A.M.; at which time a rosary will take place. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Semien-Lewis Mortuary.
