Ralph Wayne Robinson was born on August 22, 1958 in Crowley, La. to the late Ralph Williams and Edna Harmon.  "Mister," as he was known by all who knew and loved him, was a resident of Crowley, La. for most of his life.  On Wednesday, August 31, 2022, while at Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center as Cherise and Edna made peace with releasing Ralph back to God and as Marquita was with him to share her heart; he peacefully transitioned to be with the Lord.

On August 1, 1968, at nine years of age, Ralph was adopted by his mother's husband, Rogers Rose Robinson, as he was the first son born into this entire family.  Ralph took that role very seriously as he was "big brother" to every sibling, and he has a lot!  And let's not forget about all those nieces and nephews.  I would dare say there are just too many to attempt to name.  Ralph loved to learn.  With everything he learned, he was always willing to teach someone else.   He thoroughly enjoyed his family, caring for his canines, watching the Animal Channel/Discovery Channel, to name a few, as well as being a phenomenal canine trainer to every dog he had and Chaka Zulu was his latest pride and joy, to receive all of that and more.

After graduating from Crowley High School, Ralph honorably served his country in the United States Army for six years.  Upon his return to Crowley, he acquired a position with Louisiana Water Company for over twelve years, then with People's Investment Group for approximately five years and finally, he attained a position at Landmark Overhead Doors/Garage Doors and More as a General Contractor for over twenty years.  During this time, he met, fell in love with and married Sherice Bates.

Ralph knew Christ and had a personal relationship for all his adult life.  He was a Deacon and active with Abundant Life Church in Shreveport and was known to enjoy the preaching of Pastor Winnifred Robinson.  There were many people that prayed with and for Ralph, however, he was no stranger to praying for himself and others.

Ralph leaves to cherish his loving memories, his wife; Sherice Bates-Robinson, daughter; Marquita Gabrielle Robinson, son; Ralph Wayne Bates, Sr., his children he has always loved, Meoshia Robinson, Andretti Bates, Bettina (Jacolby) Bates Shelvin, Tyrone  Mott,  Eric Mott and Kaysar Bates {Chaka Zulu Robinson, we can't forget you.}, mother; Edna Harmon Robinson, six brothers; Keith (Winnifred) Robinson, Roger Glenn (Renee) Robinson, Mark Robinson, Joseph Robinson, Damien Williams, Loney Simon, ten sisters; Catherine Segura, Roslyn (David) Robinson-Harper, CarLisa (Wilson) Minix, Alicia (Reginald) Coles, Lydwina (Danny) RobinsonHolliman, Norma (Sherman) Robinson-Wilson, Ollie (Dennis) Lott, Nakia (Tiffany) Romero, Crystal Simon, Danielle Paddio, eight grandsons, ten granddaughters, one great-granddaughter, three Godchildren; Shawnielle Segura, Angelle Robinson, Devon Martin, Gary Bias, a massive host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his fathers; Rogers Rose Robinson, Ralph Williams, maternal/paternal grandparents; Woodrow/Alzina Harmon, Earl/Olivia Robinson, Leazure Tyler, brother; Byron Robinson, sister; Virginia Robinson, Godmother; Margaret  Jenkins, a host of aunts, uncles, as well as, numerous other relatives and friends.
