Ray Anthony (Charlie) Woods, 57, departed this earthly life at his residence and entered into eternal rest on Saturday, December 5, 2020.
Ray Anthony Woods, was born one of eight children to the late Earl Woods, Jr. and Mary Evelyn Woods on July 20, 1963, at Moss Regional Hospital in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
Ray Anthony (Charlie) Woods was a graduate of Elton High School, Class of 1984. He later attended Culinary and Mechanic School in College Station, Texas in 1988. On August 21, 1993, he joined in holy matrimony to Karen Claiborne and was married for 10 years. From this union, three children were born, Raven, Renise, and Myles.
Ray Anthony (Charlie) Woods was reared in a Christian home where he accepted Christ at an early age. His favorite bible scripture was Psalm 27. He was a cherished member of Faith Deliverance Temple Church of Elton, LA, and later moved to Colorado and became a member of Faith Temple C.O.G.I.C. of Denver, Colorado under the leadership of Pastor Dean Dixon, where he faithfully served as a Minister. He was a man of strength, with a great sense of humor and a caring spirit. His passion was cooking and baking pies, and he loved talking on the phone. "Charlie" worked for Budget Car Rental for 20 years in Denver, Colorado.
He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Earl Woods, Jr. and mary Evelyn Woods, and godfather, Willie Ceaser.
Ray Anthony (Charlie) Woods leaves to cherish his memories, his two daughters, Raven Woods and Renise Woods; one son, Myles Woods; three granddaughters, Brayla, Ava, and Harmonee, all of Eunice, Louisiana; seven sisters, Lorraine (Mark) Freeman of Aurora, Colorado, Gretchen (Russell) Jones of Denver, Colorado, Pamela (Minister Earl) Thomas of Elton, Louisiana, Monica (Abel) Romain of Aurora, Colorado, Cathy Sullivan of Denver, Colorado, Rita (Joseph Sr.) Fields of Elton, Louisiana and Chawana Woods of Denver, Colorado; godmother, Wilda Ceaser; one goddaughter, Rosanna Actlis of Elton, Louisiana; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
