Rayford Joseph Dartez, 64, passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at his residence while surrounded by his loving family.  Rayford was born on January 13, 1958, in Lafayette, Louisiana to Leanna Marie Pete Dartez and John Dartez.  Rayford was a well-accomplished mechanic, who could repair just about any vehicle with a motor.  He worked for Anderson Construction as a Concrete Pourer and Finisher. Rayford is survived by his wife, Diana M. Dartez; his mother, Leanna Dartez; daughters, Rachel L. Gauthier of Lake Charles, LA., Tamika N. Mouton, and Tana R. Dartez, both of Jennings, LA; sons, Rayford J. Dartez, Jr. of Lake Charles, LA., Eric R. Dartez of Jennings, LA., and Jamall R. Dartez, Sr; brother, Curtis Dartez of Jennings, LA; sisters, Savannah Robinson of Lake Arthur, LA and Ranella Daniels of Jennings, LA; seventeen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, ten great great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Rayford was preceded in death by his dad, John Dartez; brothers John Dartez, Sr., Aton Dartez, Sr., and Anthony Dartez; great-grandson, Nas Ray Dartez.

Celebration of Life Services will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2022, in the Church Chapel at Semien-Lewis Mortuary at 819 N. State Street in Jennings, LA.  Pastor Irving Mouton of White Temple Church of God in Christ will officiate.  Burial will be in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church under the direction of Semien-Lewis Mortuary of Jennings, LA.
