Reverend Rogers Charles Jr., 62, of Texas City, TX., passed from this earthly labor to heavenly reward on Monday, July 9, 2013 at his residence. Rev. Charles was a native of Jennings, LA., and a resident of Texas City, TX. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Paul Baptist Church with Rev. Ira Leigh & Rev. Stanford J. Charles officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of funeral. He leaves to cherish his memories; his wife, Mrs. Diane Daniels Charles of Texas City, TX; two sons, Rev. Stanford J. Charles and Rogers (Crystal) Charles III, both of Texas City, TX; one daughter, Alisha M. Charles of Texas City, TX; four sisters, Vetta (Joseph)Cornelius of Baton Rouge, LA., Constance (James) Savoie of Jennings, LA., Rose (Warren) Kelley of Conroe, TX., and Regina Pete of Texas City, TX; six grandchildren. Interment will be in the Parkview Cemetery in Jennings, LA., under the direction of Semien-Lewis Mortuary.
