Ronald Glenn "Guinny" Simien passed away on October 13, 2020. He was born November 27, 1955 in Welsh, Louisiana to his late parents Lily Mae Simien and Clement Jones. Guinny was a lifelong resident of Welsh and an active member in his community. For over 30 years Guinny operated his own salvage and hauling business, servicing Welsh and the surrounding areas.  He was known across southwest Louisiana for his legendary cooking and infectious sense of humor. He enjoyed classic westerns, heated political debates, and his beloved dogs.

Guinny is proceeded in death by his brothers Perry and Robert Lewis, both of Lacassine, Louisiana.

Those left to cherish his memories include his siblings John Lewis of Havre de Grace, Maryland and Melba Simien (Minix) of Crosby, Texas and a multitude of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He leaves behind a legacy of laughter, kindness, and charm.

Graveside Services will be held at 12:30 pm on Saturday, October 24, 2020, at the Lacassine Cemetery in Lacassine, Louisiana.  Visiting will be held from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm Saturday, October 24, 2020 in the Church Chapel at Semien-Lewis Mortuary, 819 N. State Street, Jennings, LA.
