Mrs. Rose Pattum Matthews age 86, passed away peacefully at her residence on Sunday, August 20, 2017.  Rose was born on July 9, 1931 in Pine Island, LA to the late Wilfred Pattum and Elizabeth Achane-Pattum.  She was a devoted member of Power House Church of God in Christ in Jennings, LA., pastored by Pastor Johnny Davis where she served as faithfully in the Mission Department.

Rose leaves to cherish her memories, four daughters, Mary Mayfield, Allison Journet (Wilton), & Nichole Matthews, all of Jennings, LA. and Cathy Sylvester (Lonnie) of Baytown, TX; four sons, Clarence Mathews, Jr. (Cynthia), & Douglas Matthews (Vivian), both of Jennings, LA., David Matthews (Tiffany) of Elton, LA., and Joseph Matthews of Columbus, TX; pne adopted granddaughter, Shantel Matthews of Houston, TX; one sister, Jean Staten.

Rose was preceded in death by her parents; Wilfred & Elizabeth Pattum; one son, Adam Matthews; one daughter Judy Moutonl; one granddaughter, Stephanie Mouton; three brothers, Jesse Pattum, Horace Pattum, and David Pattum; four sisters, Alice Barker, Betty Leopold, Margaret Dugas, and Mary Pattum.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at 11:00 am at Power House Church of God in Christ with Pastor Johnny Davis officiating.  Visitation will be held in the church from 9:00 am until the time of the Funeral.  Burial will follow in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cemetery.
