Mr. Russell James Lee With the love and grace of God. Brother Russell James Lee was born in Jennings, Louisiana on January 8, 1947. Russell was the youngest child of Joe Lee and Victoria Simon Lee, who preceded him in death. He departed this life in the University Hospital & Clinics in Lafayette, LA. At the age of eleven Russell was baptized at Union Baptist Church in Jennings, Louisiana by the late Reverend G. C. Chaney. He attended Jefferson-Davis High School. Russell was also known as "Fluff" to family and close friends. Throughout his journey he lived and worked in the following cities; in Houston, Texas he worked as a manager in a fast food restaurant. He worked at the Red & White Grocery Store in Lutcher, Louisiana. In New Orleans, LA he worked as courier in a print shop. He also, worked as an electrician and did electrical work in Jennings and surrounding areas. Russell married Margaret "Jollene" Reed on May 22, 2000 and was married for ten years. He was helpful with family members making sure they make it to doctor visits and a helpful hand to anyone that ask for his help. He is well known in the community and everyone who knew him enjoyed his company and always say he would have you laughing a few minutes after just meeting him. Mr. Russell James Lee completed his journey through this life on Sunday, August 23, 2015 at 2:18 am CT. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at 11:00 am in the David J. and Rosa W. Fondel Memorial Church Chapel at Semien-Lewis Mortuary on 819 N. State Street in Jennings, LA. Russel leaves many to cherish his memory: Two sisters: Carolyn Lee Gordon (late Harold J. Gordon) of Decatur, Georgia and Wilma Jean Wright (late James Wright) of New Orleans, Louisiana. Two brothers: Howard Roy Lee and Freddie Marshall Lee of Jennings, Louisiana. Also: 5 nephews: Anthony Gordon of Waynesboro, GA, Mark Gordon of Stone Mountain, GA, Gene Wright, Keith Wright of New Orleans, LA and David Wright (military officer) in Lawton, Oklahoma. One niece: Cathy Gordon of Decatur, GA and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
